Check out our list below for our picks of the five local spots that do this traditional cuisine best and you'll know where to go next time your cravings strike. 1. Eng's Chinese Restaurant More than just a place to eat, Eng's is a local tradition and has been serving up delicious meals in our area since way back in 1927. You'll taste the tradition in every delicious bite you here. They have a lot of variety to pick from on their menu, but for us, nothing compares to the Sweet and Sour Spare Ribs. The tangy dipping sauce that comes on the side and the tender meat is a match made in heaven. 2. Great Wall Stop in early at Great Wall to get a great value on a filling meal with their lunch specials. Our favorite has to be the savory flavor of their Beef with Broccoli dish. The lunch special comes complete with your choice of pork fried rice or white rice, as well as either an egg roll or some egg drop soup to finish the meal. Wash it all down with the soda that comes as part of your combo deal. 3. They let you build a Hot Pot that is customized to your tastes, starting from a range of broths from spicy to herbal. Then pick your choice of ingredients to go in, with everything from fried tofu to squid for you to choose from. 4. Kai's Friendly service from the staff at Kai's elevates your experience to the next level, and the food is up there with the best as well. Indoor Activities When You’re at Home With the Kids

Due to the global COVID-19 pandemic, many of us are spending more time at home than before. While this can feel stressful and overwhelming at time, it also gives us all more time to bond with our kids. Here are a few fun indoor activities you can try to add some fun to your days at home. Card games A deck of cards can easily turn into hundreds of different games. Kid-friendly card games include Go Fish, War, Memory, Old Maid, and Crazy Eights. Pen and paper games With just a sheet of paper and a pen or two, you can create fun puzzle games. Try simple games like Hangman, Dots and Squares, Sprouts, and Why? Because. Toilet paper roll cities If your kids have grown tired of play dough, bring out some new materials they can build with. Collect empty toilet paper or paper towel rolls, popsicle sticks, cardstock, and paint or markers. They can paint the rolls and use the paper to make windows, doors, and roofs. Puzzles You probably have a handful of puzzles stored somewhere in your house. Pull them out, let your kids pick one out, and put the puzzle together as a family. You can also let your kids try making their own by drawing pictures on heavy paper or cardboard and then cutting them into interesting shapes. Romeo Ford wishes you and your family a safe and pleasant spring. Remember to call us for any vehicular needs this season.

Decorating Your Ford with Christmas Lights

So you’ve decorated your lawn, your house, and your tree for the holidays, but what if you could decorate your Ford, too? If you really want to add some pizzazz to your Christmas party, here are our tips for decorating your Ford with Christmas lights. Only decorate for events While it would be cool to see a Ford covered in Christmas lights driving down the highway, it’s probably illegal. As a result, you should only decorate your Ford for events where you’ll be taking them off afterwards. Get a power inverter A vehicle’s car battery alone typically can’t power a string of Christmas lights. That’s why you need a power inverter. The 12V DC produced by the car battery is converted to 110V AC by the inverter in order to power the Christmas lights. Use outdoor lights This may seem obvious, but your best bet is to use string lights rated for outdoor use. These are the kind you’d put on a house rather than on your Christmas tree, for example. This is so the elements won’t cause any problems for you, especially rain. Secure the lights well You don’t want your Christmas lights to drag. When you decorate, make sure you keep everything secured. Drivers can use anything from zip ties to magnets to keep Christmas lights securely attached to your Ford.   Romeo Ford wishes you and your family a Merry Christmas. For more ways to decorate your truck or for suggestions on holiday events to attend, don’t hesitate to give us a call.

Best and Worst Thanksgiving Travel Times

We are now officially in the holiday season. This means many families have travel plans coming up very soon. If you plan to do any driving for Thanksgiving, there are a few times you should avoid and some that you should aim for. Here are the best and worst Thanksgiving travel times. Worst Times In general, the worst time to leave for your Thanksgiving weekend is Wednesday evening. However, according to AccuWeather, Tuesday evening can also be pretty bad in the greater New York area. After the Thanksgiving holiday, Sundays are going to be the busiest travel day to return home. Best Times If you don’t have far to travel, the best time to drive will be anytime on Thanksgiving Day. For your return trip, Friday, Saturday, or even Monday will give you the lightest traffic. If you have to leave earlier than Thanksgiving Day, try to leave early in the morning to avoid most of the traffic. You should also try to plan your route to avoid the most congested highways. Keep in mind that Thanksgiving is a bit later this year and falls on Nov. 28. Here in New York, that means the likelihood for snowy or icy weather goes up. Schedule your Ford vehicle’s seasonal maintenance appointment here at Romeo Ford before winter sets in. We’re here to help ensure that your holidays are as safe as they are fun.
