2021 Ford Ranger

The 2021 Ford Ranger is available in three trims: the XL, XLT, and Lariat. In addition to these three trims, packages can be added, such as an STX package for the XL trim and the Tremor Off-Road package which is available for the XLT and Lariat. Another off-road package called FX4 can be added to any of the three trims. Customization is available at each trim and package level.

You can get any of the trims with either the SuperCab or the longer crew cab. There's also a five-foot or a six-foot bed. The XLT trim adds a rear step bumper and access to an available bedliner. Upgrading to the Lariat gets you a chrome grille and power heated outside mirrors, and you can add a gray grille, chrome exhaust tips, and a tonneau cover if you choose.

All three trims are powered by a 2.3-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission. This engine makes up to 270 horsepower and 310 pound-feet of torque. The 2021 Ford Ranger provides an excellent balance of power, towing capability, and fuel economy. You'll be able to tow up to 7500 pounds and get an estimated 26 mpg on the highway.

Rear-wheel drive is standard on all trims, with four-wheel drive as an available option. Opting for the FX4 package gives you a rear locking differential and suspension tuned for rough terrain that allows you to take this truck off-road with ease. If you go with the Tremor package on the XLT or Lariat, it adds lifted suspension, FOX 2.0 monotube shocks, rear leaf springs, front coilover springs, and rear piggyback reservoir shock absorbers.

Four drive modes are also a standard feature for the entire Ranger line. They let you manually adjust the truck's performance with a simple twist of a dial to provide optimal settings for the current road conditions.

To provide the most comfortable drive possible, the 2021 Ford Ranger features a premium interior and state-of-the-art technology. The base XL has features like cloth seats, seating for up to five people, and chrome-accented trim. Choosing the XLT upgrades the upholstery to premium cloth and adds the SYNC 3 infotainment system that pairs with your mobile phone and provides many entertainment and informational options. The premium Lariat adds a voice-activated and controlled entertainment system and leather seats with heated front seats. Additional available features include dual-zone climate control, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, premium audio, and an 8-inch touch screen.

No matter where you're headed, nothing is more important than getting there safely. As such, the 2021 Ford Ranger adds several safety and driver-assistance features. Standard features across all trims include a four-wheel anti-lock braking system, traction control, and electronic stability control to assist you in demanding driving situations. Other standard safety features include an advanced air bag system, a forward-collision warning system, and automatic emergency braking. Optional safety features include rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, and blind-spot monitoring.
