Meanwhile, the 5.0-liter Ti-VCT V8 produces 395 horsepower and 400 lb-ft of torque, allowing the truck to reach its available best-in-class payload rating. For the most power, select the 3.5-liter high-output EcoBoost®, which achieves best-in-class 450 horsepower and 510 lb-ft of torque. Each of these engines pairs with a 10-speed automatic transmission that optimizes performance.

Towing Capabilities

If your job involves towing heavy equipment or trailers filled with supplies, the 2020 F-150 has the capabilities to assist you with your tasks. The pickup can tow up to 13,200 pounds when properly equipped, and it is available with innovative technologies to make towing easier. BLIS® with Trailer Coverage warns you when there’s a vehicle beside your trailer or in your blind spot so that you know not to switch lanes.*

With the class-exclusive Pro Trailer Backup Assist™, reversing out of a parking spot is a breeze.* While backing up, all you have to do is turn a knob to indicate the direction that you want your trailer to head in.* Other available features include a trailer brake controller that syncs the trailer brakes with the truck brakes as well as dynamic hitch assist, which has a line-of-sight guide. An optional LED trailer hitch light also enables you to hitch a trailer, even when it’s dark outside.

Confidence-Enhancing Safety Systems

The 2020 F-150 comes standard with Ford Co-Pilot360™ technologies, which give you additional protection when driving on the road or around the job site. Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking warns you of detected potential collisions with either pedestrians or vehicles ahead of you.** If you don’t act when the impact is imminent, the system can automatically apply the brakes to help mitigate damage.** The Rear View Camera also allows you to more easily check the area behind the truck as you back out of a parking spot.**

When driving at night, you can rely on the Automatic High Beams to illuminate the road.** These headlamps automatically turn on in the dark and then automatically dim when they detect oncoming traffic.** The available Lane-Keeping System provides an alert if you accidentally drift out of your lane.** If you continuously struggle to stay in your lane, the system will display a coffee cup icon, which indicates that you need to take a break from the road.**
