The 2019 Ford Super Duty® is the truck you need when you do heavy-duty towing on a regular basis. This truck is designed to work hard every day. It is available in a wide range of models so you can get the model that meets your power needs.
The Super Duty® is available in both F-250, F-350, and F-450 models in six trim levels: XL, XLT, Lariat, King Ranch®, Platinum, and Limited.
Engine Options
There are two impressive engine options on the Ford Super Duty®. The standard engine is a 6.2-liter Flex-Fuel V8 rated at 385 horsepower and 430 lb-ft of torque. Kicking the power up even higher is the available 6.7-liter Power Stroke® Turbo Diesel that delivers a best-in-class 450 horsepower and 935 lb-ft of torque.
Towing and Hauling
When properly equipped, the Super Duty® has a maximum conventional tow rating of 21,000 pounds. If you need to tow even more than that, consider 5th-wheel or gooseneck towing. It can tow up to 27,500 and 35,000 pounds, respectively.
In addition to towing heavy loads, it can handle up to 7,630 pounds of payload. It also boasts a best-in-class gross combination weight rating (GCWE) of 42,800 pounds.
Camera Technology
Along with its rugged, powerful engines, the Super Duty® uses technology to make towing and hauling easier and safer. It is available with up to seven cameras, including a tailgate camera, a Trailer Reverse Guidance system, a high-mount stop lamp camera to see the bed, and high-definition 360-degree cameras to view all sides of your truck.
Safety
Because trucks are so big, it can sometimes be hard to see other vehicles around you. The Super Duty® solves this problem with the available BLIS® (Blind Spot Information System) with Cross-Traffic Alert and Trailer Tow. It gives you a signal on the outside mirror when another vehicle is detected in your blind spot.
